About Jane

My main aim in practice is to support peacefulness and wellbeing. It makes sense that when we are relaxed and happy we are more creative, enjoy life more, are nicer to be with and more likely to make good choices and to treat ourselves and others well.

I have diplomas in Holistic Therapies, Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology and Indian Head Massage and, more recently, in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills.  At Certificate level, I am qualified to teach and assess adults (FE level) and to provide Counselling in the workplace.
Two years' undergraduate study of Philosophy at Reading University and one year’s degree level study of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading have enhanced my holistic thinking.

I have taught massage at NVQ level for Basingstoke College, as well as an introductory course for adults in Reflexology at Newbury College.  I teach Reiki and meditation classes privately.

My work experience includes visiting corporate clients and providing reflexology to care homes for resident service users with learning disabilities and I also provide treatments to carers via respite funding.

More than 20 years ago, I learned Transcendental Meditation (TM) which is a life-enhancing practice for me. I teach a simple and effective form of mantra meditation based on this practice.

I live in Thatcham with my husband, David Wilder, who was born in Chaddleworth.  We think the beautiful West Berkshire countryside is the best therapy anyone could find!

I am registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and appropriately insured. My practice is ethically focused and I will always put you first.
