David Wilder

It is difficult to catagorise my husband, David's style of therapy which has grown organically from his experience and practice.  He combines mentoring and compassionate listening with a highly focused "holding" of energy.  His sessions are enabling, warming and healing, beyond the words exchanged.

David creates a space where you are completely accepted, respected and gently restored, despite any challenges you may be facing.  You can also use this space to explore personal development, stimulate creativity or express or formulate your thoughts.

David is an accomplished Reiki master who uses Reiki in a very practical and unassuming manner on a daily basis, and genuinely and unselfconsciously lives the Reiki Five Principles.  I am grateful for his support and guidance in my work and practice over the past 10 years.

David's sensibility is rooted in the West Berkshire countryside.  To me, he sometimes seems like an old oak tree!  He was born in Chaddleworth, as was his father, and his grandfather was born in Great Shefford.  He has had lots of adventures in his work and plenty of travel, adventure, difficulties and experience, but he is a man who knows where he comes from and knows when he's home.  This might help to explain the peaceful quality people notice and enjoy about David.

David has a background as a very successful and much-loved trainer in the security industry and, prior to this, in transport management.  He is a dedicated transport enthusiast, producing a monthly column for the local transport publication, Translines and currently engaged in writing a book about the history of Reliance, a sterling West Berkshire bus company which ran into the 1980's.

David has offered sessions in Anger Management at The Therapy Centre in Reading for many years now, based on his knowledge and teaching of Conflict Management within the security industry and his training in NVC (Non-Violent Communication).  Recently, he has also developed Positive Recollection TherapyTM, a method for promoting mental wellbeing using memory and appreciation. He has also delivered sessions on Conflict Management to pupils at the Kennet School in Thatcham.  Furthermore, he has provided much-appreciated animal Reiki to cats, dogs, pigs, donkeys and horses, along the way!

The words that most people use most often about David are "non-judgemental", "wise" and "kind".  He is an exceptional and naturally gifted therapist.
